LAWN TENNIS
United Club The United Tennis Club was officially opened for the season on Saturday by the president, Mr. J. O. Mahoney 7 , who welcomed new members and friends. Mr. Mahoney presented the prizes to the winners of last year’s events. After Mrs. Foote had driven the first ball over the net all adjourned to the pavilion, where afternoon tea was served. For the rest of the afternoon mixed doubles were played.
Takapuna Club The Takapuna Tennis Club will hold its official opening on Saturday-, at 2 p.m. This club lias still a few vacancies for new members.
