TARRIED TOO LONG
CHINAMAN FINED TWO YEARS OVERDUE Leong Kwok, a Chinaman, v.-ho has been in New Zealand longer than his temporary immigration permit allowed, was fined £l4 at the Police Court today. The Collector of Customs said that accused had come to New Zealand on the naval oil-tanker Nucula and had remained for over two years instead of a few months.
