MOTU BRIDGE
A COSTLY STRUCTURE The Public Works Department is inviting tenders for the construction of a bridge across the Motu River on the Opotiki-East Cape Road. The bridge will consist of four 110 ft and one Sift timber spans on concrete abutments and concrete cylinder piers. The department is also calling tenders for polecarting along the route of the Ngongotalia-Opotiki transmission line and the Ngongotaha-Taneatua section.
