GATHERING AT ROTORUA Tlie fortnightly Catholic social and “500" tournament was held on Friday night, the attendance being large. Mr. C. H. Clinkard, on behalf of the committee, presented the prizes to Mrs. tYillinott, Mr. A. G. Pennington, Mrs Dunbar and Mr. C. H. Clinkard. In the series of four “500” tournament? Mr. A. G. Pennington secured 23 game? and first prize, while Mrs. At illmott and Mrs. Monk tied with 20 game* each. The “spot dance” prize was w*" by Miss Ellis and Mr. Parata. Th“ supper provided by the ladies tvsn e.. that could be desired.
