MOUNT ALBERT FINANCE

BUILDING PROGRESS At the meeting of the Mount Albert Borough Council last evening the building inspector reported that 31 permits had been issued for the erection of dwellings and other buildings to the value of £7,069. For the halfyear ending September 30. 1927, 25S permits valued at £78,760 had been issued. _ The Water and Fire Brigade Committee recommended that the town clerk be empowered to place an order for six fire-alarm boxes for delivery on April 1 next. It was stated that Councillor Brigham’s resignation as chairman of the committee had been accepted with great regret. The Finance and Legal Committee reported that accounts paid totalling £11.951 3s 4d had been confirmed, anti accounts totalling £8,517 13s lOd had ,been passed for payment.
