“N.Z.’S ADVERTISING AMBASSADOR TO U.S.A.”
MISS AUSTEN ENTERTAINED AT LUNCHEON “New Zealand’s advertising ambassador to Hollywood.” IN these words Mr. L. A. Lady, president of the Auckland Advertising Club, introduced “Miss New Zealand 1927,” Miss Bale Austen, to club members at luncheon to-day. In a complimentary reference, Mr. Eady remarked that it was very fitting that the Advertising Club should have the opportunity of welcoming Miss Austen, who would do her country credit in the United States. Mr. Eady announced that arrangements were being made for the private .screening of a New Zealand publicity film of beauty spots of the Dominion. The club was to invite public men from the various local bodies, as well as its own members. Mr. P. A. Richards*, manager of the Dunlop Rubber Company, gave an address on “Selling Rubber to the World,” in which he outlined the methods of publicity by which the Dunlop Company sold its goods. The subject was later thrown open for discussion.
