W.C.T.U. ACTIVITIES
WHANGAREI BRANCH A pleasant afternoon was spent at the residence of Mrs. W. Heather, Otaika Road, on Thursday last. A special bus was chartered to convey the Whangarei members to celebrate “Maori Day.” Full reports, from Sister Eleanor, Methodist, and Sister Marjorie Heather, Presbyterian, who are well-known in 'Whangarei, were read. Musical and elocutionary items were contributed by Mesdames Poolman, Campbell and Curtis. Afternoon tea was served, and a hearty vote of thanks to Mrs. Heather concluded the meeting.
