OTAHUHU TENNIS CLUB’S OPENING

He then called on Mrs. Whiteley, who has b.een associated with the club since its inception to play the first ball, after which he declared the courts open for the new season. During the afternoon the following prizes won during last season were presented: • Ladies’ championship singles, Miss E. Whiteley: men’s championship singles, Mr. O. Montgomery; men’s handicap singles, Mr. O. Montgomery. It was decided that the club enter teams in the C and D grade of the Auckland 1 Association’s competitions.
