FREEZING INDUSTRY WILL ABSORB 500 MEN
“you can say that it will take -* about 500 men out of the ranks of the unemployed when it is going at full.” Mr. W. Ei. Sill, secretary of the Slaughtermen’s Union, remarked this morning that he anticipated that the slaughtering season would open early next month. The sooner it began the better was his view. It had been a long and hard winter for men who. when the freezing works closed, had come into the towns.
