TADHAV, the promoter of three Bills in the Bombay Legislative Council, to restrict child marriages, says that in the Bombay Presidency alone there are 74,000 married children under five years of age, of whom -.,574 are widows. .Nearly 2,000 children are married before they are a year old. The total number of married children between the ages of five and ten is nearly 350,000. —Sun.
