NEW REGENT

“THE FLAG LIEUTENANT”

We have heard much talk about the British and their production methods, of the many efforts they have made to capture a world market, but, it has remained for the producers of "The Flag Lieutenant” to show the way. This | is without doubt a great picture. With the active co-opera-tion of the Admiralty, the makers have been able to build into the story much impressive grandeur and spectacle. Around the wellwriuen p my, a picture of excellent calibre has been made with a wellchosen and carefully-selected cast. True, it is a thrilling tale of the Navy, a romance that tells of a young officer’s sacrifice, so that his friend might get promotion, and, backed by the Navy and its valuable help, “The Flag Lieutenant” is one of the most pretentious of screen offerings. Hence the management of the New Regent Theatre, on the lookout for special attractions for its patrons is proud to be in a position to show such a production. In this British picture are Henry Edwards and frothy Seacombe, an Australian actress.
