STOCK AMENDMENT
SEVERAL ALTERATIONS MADE (From Our Oxen Correspondent) MORRINSVILLE, To-day. Several alterations have been made by the Agricultural and Pastoral Industries and Stock Committee to the Stock Amendment Bill, which was reported back to the House of Representatives this evening with the recommendation that it be allowed to proceed. The clause permitting the dipping of Merino or half-bred sheep in December, where conditions demand early dipping, has been struck out. A new sub-clause has been inserted after that dealing with the registration of standard marks by societies established to promote the improvement of stock, and making it an offence, for which penalty is fixed at £lO, to brand any stock with an unauthorised mark.
