BRIDGE AND DANCING

Miss Molly Young was the guest of honour at a delightful little flag bridge evening, followed by an informal dance given by Miss D. Farquhar, at Royal Court, Symonds Street, last evening. The rooms were attractively decorated with tall vases of pink roses and Iceland poppies. Miss Farquhar wore a beaded frock of navy blue georgette, with a striking design in pillar box red. Miss Molly Young was wearing a frock of geranium pink georgette with a bouffant sash of opal blue taffetas. The bridge prizes were won by Mrs. K. Raymond, Miss Emerson and Mr. R. Syme, while the consolation prizes went to Miss Mahon, Mr. Gordon Blythe and Mr. B. Lowe. An amusing competition was contested, the prize-winners being Mrs. Jones and Mr. J. Carter. Among the guests were: Mrs. K. Raymond, wearing a frock of dove grey georgette, effectively beaded in steel. Mrs. Francis Bate, in a frock of mandarin blue georgette. Mrs. Ellis, wearing a frock of Nile green charmeuse. Mrs. Mitchell, whose frock was of floral frosted chenille velvet. Mrs. Jones, black beaded frock of georgette. Mrs. Mahon, chenille embossed frock of georgette. Miss Nell Mahon, frock of black georgette. Miss Davison, black lace frock. Miss Rona Fenton, frock of primrose taffeta. Miss Iris Ilale, black taffeta frock, with long roll collar of silver tissue and insets of cherry red. Miss Parkinson .frock of black embossed satin panelled with jade green georgette. Miss Emerson, black frock of georgette and lace. Miss Pat Read, frock of pastel pink georgette. Miss Daisy Schatz, black lace frock girdled with cherry red velvet. Miss Margaret Rainger, frock of wistaria mauve georgette. Miss Ruth Mumford, frock of black lace and georgette. Miss Helen Montague, ruehed frock of beech brown satin crepe. Miss Audrey Lawrence, frock of ecru lace with large shoulder bow of rose pink velvet. Miss Joan Youhg, black panne velvet frock.
