BUTTER AND CHEESE
Merchants report receipt of the following cables from London: — A. H. Turnbull and Co., from their London principals, W. Weddel and Co., Ltd., under date October 21:—“Butter: Danish, 190 s to 1925; New Zealand unsalted, 184 s to 188 s; salted, 173 s to 1765; market slow. New Zealand cheese, white and coloured, 102 s to 104 s; market slow. Canadian cheese, white and coloured, 103 s to 1055.“ Joseph Nathan and Co.:—“Butter, 174 s to 1765; cheese, 102 s; market stagnant.” New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Co.: “New Zealand butter, 176 s to 180 s a cwt; market slow. Cheese, 104 sto 105 s a cwt.” Market quiet.
