PROPELLER SHAFT BREAKS BACK FOR REPAIRS By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. LAS PALMAS, Wednesday. The steamer Bendigo has arrived at Las Palmas with her propeller boss missing, and the tail-end of her shaft broken. She will return to Falmouth for repairs.—A. and N.Z.-Sun.

The Bendigo is a P. and O. steamship of 13,039 tons. She was built in August. 1922, at Greenock by Messrs. Harland and Wolff. Her length is 520 ft. The Bendigo was listed to sail from London on October 13 for Fremantle, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.
