The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., Hamilton report: “We held a sale of 46 Jersey cows and heifers at Matangi, on account of Alfred Benge. These were a choice lot of dairy rattle, mostly in milk, and competition was keen throughout. The cattle had been tested by the New Zealand Co-oper-ative Herd-Testing Association and proved to fce high producers of butterfat. Best cows and heifers realised £l7 lOs to £24 10s. others £l2 10s to £l6 10s. The whole line averaged £ls 15s.
