By Cable. —Press Association. — Copyright. Reed. 10.30 a.m. MELBOURNE, To-day A FIRE at Port Melbourne trapped the Edwards and Savage families, numbering eight persons. Mrs. Edwards, trying to escape downstairs, was badly burned. escaped in their nightclothes to the roof, and thence to safety, carrying the injured woman, who later succumbed to burns.—A. and N.Z.
