Th« Hon. C. J. Carrington, M.L.C., left by train for Wellington last evening Mr M. B. Esson, of the secretarial Jft 'of the Post and Telegraph Department, is visiting Auckland. The Kev. J. J. North arrived from the South by the Limited this morning. Mr. F. Andrews was a passenger from the South by the Limited this morning. Mr. Beaumont Smith, who has been visiting the South, returned to Auckland this morning. Dr. p. A. Lindsay went South last evening. Mr. E. D. McLennan, M.P., left for Wellington by the Limited last evening. Mr. Archibald F. Nicoll, who has been director of the School of Art at Christchurch for the past eight years, has handed his resignation to the Board of Governors of Canterbury College.—Press Association. Mr. S. J. Hayden, who has until lately been station director of IYA, left for Wellington last evening. Mr. Hayden, who is to join the staff at ;he Wellington broadcasting station. IYA. was presented with a travelling lag by his friends at the Auckland station shortly before his departure.
