HAMILTON LOANS

UNEMPLOYMENT RELIEF FOOTPATH REPAIRS (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, To-day. The Hamilton Borough Council at a special meeting held last night carried resolutions to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for approval of a £3,000 loan for relief of unemployment, and a loan of £35,000 for putting footpaths in thorough order. Four objections were received to the latter proposal and the matter was dealt with fully, the Mayor giving a comprehensive «*•< rhe position. Councillors Tidd and Pinfold recorded their dissent to the £ 35,000 proposal.
