ST. PATRICK’S DAY CLUB

(Special to THE SUN.) TAIHAPE, Tuesday. At the annual meeting of the Taihape St. Patrick’s Day Sports Club the report stated that although the last sports meeting did not show a profit, the loss, compared with the previous year, showed a decrease of nearly £IOO. The balance sheet showed that the cash at the bank amounted to £153. It was stated by the president that although the last meeting had been run at a loss, the sports, from the public point of view, were the best ever held by the club, and competitors were thoroughly satisfied. It was decided to hold the next meeting on March 17 and 19. It was also resolved that the incoming committee be recommended not to exceed £6,600 in the prize money. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr. W. S. Glenn; president, Mr. J. Quirk; vice-presidents, Messrs. D. Neagle and J. Ryan: committee, Messrs. W. C. Gregory, W. Howens, C. Cherry, V. Nicholls, W. P. Dowling, E. Healey, W. J. Beckett and J. Donovan; secretary and treasurer. Mr. A. M. Ryan; auditor. Mr. O. W. Eastwood.
