WAIMARINO FISHING

LIBERATION OF FRY At the recent meeting of the Waimarino Acclimatisation Society, the secretary reported that 135.00 rainbow trout and 100,00 Osalmon fry had been liberated. The rivers and streams in which the fish were liberated were as follow: Rainbow fry—Mangawhero, 25,000; Piapiotea, 10,000; Orautoha, 20.000; Owhango, 5,000; Wanganui, 45:000; Kaitieke, 20.000; Waimarino, 10,000. Salmon —Makiokio Stream, at Erua, 100,000. It was resolved that another 20,000 rainbow fry be liberated as follows: Taranaki Stream. 10,000; Kuru Lake, Ivarioi, 5,000; Twelve-mile Creek, Waiouru-Tokaanu Road, 5,000.
