WAIHI BOXERS
TOURNEY ARRANGED The annual meeting of the Waihi Boxing Association was held in Tanner's Gymnasium, King’s Theatre, on Saturday, Mr. W. Ellerington presiding. The election of officers resulted as follows: Master of ceremonies, Mr. W. M. Wallnut; patron, Dr. F. G. Short; president, Mr. W. Ellerington: vice-presidents, Messrs. Kerr, Weedon, Reed, Patterson and Ashby; committee, Messrs. Colledge, Broadfoot, Tanner, Thompson, Robertson, Williams, Keatings-Stamp, Reed, Walsh, Davies, and Weeks; secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. C. Holt. It was decided to hold a tournament in the second week of November, and that the matter of procuring the necessary boxes be left in the hands of the president and secretary.
