GIFT TO MR. SIDEY

SHILLING COLLECTION PROPOSED A letter was received at last evening’s meeting of the Mount Eden Borough Council stating that large numbers were desirous of showing their appreciation of- Mr. T. K. Sidey’s action in bringing about the Summer Time Act. It was asked that a collection should be made, the largest subscription to be Is. Sir Truby King was president of the movement. The Mayor, Mr. E. H. Potter, moved that the question be referred to the Finance Committee, and this course was taken.
