WAITEMATA BOWLING CLUB

OPENING AT MORTHCOTE In spite of the most unfavourable weather condition on Saturday, a large number of members and visitors witnessed the official opening of the Waitemata Bowling and Croquet Club’s greens at Northcote. Mr. Norman E. Heath, the club president, spoke of the club’s indebtedness to various members for their practical and willing support, particularly to Messrs. John Potter, W. Lilburn, F. Hubble and V. J. Fitzpatrick in the preparation of the green. Mrs. F. Hubble, president of the Croquet Club, threw the jack and Mr. Heath then declared the green open for the season.
