WASH-HOUSE DAMAGED

FIRE AT PONSONBY A wash-house adjoining a house at 170 Jervois Road, Ponsonby, was slightly damaged by fire a little before 7 o’clock this morning. The City Fire Brigade turned out promptly to the call and prevented any extensive damage being done. The building, which consists of a dairy and four rooms, is owned by Mr W. A. Darrach, of 28 Wairaki Road, Mount Eden, and is occupied by Mrs. E. J. Vial. The contents of the house are insured for £350 in the Eagle, Star and British Dominions Office.
