FINAL RECITAL GIVEN Alexander Watson gave his final recital in Auckland to an enthusiastic audience at the concert chamber on Saturday night. The programme included the famous forum scene from Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar,” with the stirring orations of Brutus and Mark Antony; “A Holiday in Bed,” by J. M. Barrie; ‘The Crowning of Dreaming John,” by Drinkwater; Kipling items—- “ The Ballad of the Clampherdown,” “Big Steamers,” “The Ballad of the Bolivar,” “Fuzzy Wuzzy,” “Boots,” Two Cautionary Tales, “Matilda,” and “Jim,” by Hilaire Belloc, and “Rubinstein’s Piano-playing,” by Moses Adams.
