FURTHER DECREASE IN UNEMPLOYMENT

A further decrease in unemployment is shown by figures supplied by the Labour Bureau this morning. The total of men out of work is 563 compared with 631 last week. Men classed as fit for heavy work number 450 and those suitable for only light work 113. The previous week’s figures were 504 and 127 respectively. Men placed in employment during the week total 187 compared with 147 for the week ending October S.
