BROTHERS DENY GUILT ARRESTS IN SYDNEY By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright SYDNEY, Friday. As a sequel to the death of Mr. Ronald L. Leslie, grazier, of Manly, who was found shot in his motor-car on a country road, the police last night arrested three brothers, Herbert, William, and Bruce Higgs, at Rose Bay. This morning the men were charged with murdering Mr. Leslie, and were remanded for a week, without bail. Counsel fer the accused said they were members of a family possessed of comfortable means. They were ail of unimpeachable character, and could give a good account of their actions on the day of the tragedy. There was no motive for them to have committed the crime. The magistrate, nevertheless, refused counsel’s application for bail on the advice of. the police. —A. and N.Z.
