LIMERICK WILL CONTEST TRENTHAM CHAMPION PLATE
WELLINGTON S BIG ATTRACTION (Special to THE SUNJ WELLINGTON, Friday. Limerick is due here on Tuesday next and private advices indicate that it is the intention of his trainer to start him in the Champion Plate, which is to be run on the second day of the meeting. In addition to what has been heard from the other side, there is evidence here that Limerick is intended to compete, as F. D. Jones has t*ooked accommodation at Trentham for four horses. If Limerick does run his presence will be a big attraction, but will not I*e a great draw for owners oi other horses engaged in the race. Some of the owners may take the view that it would be useless chasing him, and allow their horses to drop out of the race, but all things considered there is the possibility of an interesting contest. The presence of Limerick in the field will provide a rare opportunity for owners of good horses to get a line on just how good they are.
