WOMEN’S CONCERT

TOWN HALL, TUESDAY A concert under the auspices of the Ex-Service Women’s Association will be given in the Town Hall concert chamber next Tuesday evening. A fine musical and vocal programme will be submitted. Greig’s Sonata for piano and violin in C Minor will be played by Misses Maida Hooker and Margaret Stoddart. Miss Stoddart will also play “Romance in G Minor,” composed by tie well-known Auckland pianist, Mr. Eric Waters. This will be the second concert performance, and the composer will play the accompaniment. Miss Stoddart’s other solo will be Lederer’s “Poeme Hongrois.” Piano solos will be contributed by Miss Maida Hooker, and Mr. Francis Bate will play ’cello solos. Songs will be given by Miss Berta Carr, and include “Apres un Reve,” “Into the Silent Night,” “Ire Giorni,” and “Shepherd’s Song.”
