ORANGE BLOSSOMS
KATTERNS—COLLINS A very pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Jude’s Church, Avondale, last Saturday afternon, when Thelma Beatrice, third daughter of Mrl and Mrs. W. Collins, of Brown Street, Avondale, was married to Leslie William Horton Katterns, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Katterns, of Avondale. The Rev. Alfred Drake officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dainty gown of white brocaded crepe de chine, with trimmings of silver lace, and a girdle held in place with a spray of orange blossoms. An exquisitely embroidered tulle veil formed the train, falling from a head-dress of orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of white flowers. Miss Nancy Clark attended as maid of honour, wearing an attractive frock of lavender georgette, with a black crinoline hat trimmed with flowers and ribbons to tone. Her bouquet was of primroses and pansies. Two flower girls, Miss Winifred Collins, sister of the bride, and Miss Myrtle Katterns, sister of the bridegroom, wore dainty frocks of apricot crepe de chine, trimmed with ecru lace, and hats of black georgette trimmed with apricot and long black satin streamers. They each carried a posy of stock and maiden-hair fern. Mr. Roy Katterns, brother of the bridegroom,, acted as best man. The bridegroom’s gift to the bride was a gold wristlet watch, while each of the bridesmaids wore a gold armlet, also the gift of the bridegroom. On leaving the church, the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by little Betty Bellini.
