WHANGAREI BOWLERS
AN AUSPICIOUS OPENING The bowlers of Whangarei yesterday had glorious weather for the opening of the season at the Whangarei and Kensington Clubs' greens. Visitors from country clubs attended in force, and included Mr. F. J. Dargaville, president of the recently-formed North Auckland Bowling Association. The croquet sections associated with the clubs were also opened. Preliminary rink play showed tha.t the greens were in excellent order.
