ACCIDENT TO HASTINGS TRAINER Press Association. c HASTINGS, To-day. Yesterday morning Harry Hickey, the veteran horse trainer, was. riding Admiral Codrington on the Hastings Racecourse, when, in endeavouring to pull the horse up, the bit broke. Hickey was thrown heavily to the ground. He attended to his duties during the day, but took a bad turn last evening and was ordered to hospital suffering from concussion. H. Hickey is the trainer of Merry Mint, now in Australia in charge of J. Cameron, Royal Damon. Epistle, ancl one or two other horses. The equine that threw him yesterday, Admiral Codrington, a fair handicap performer, has not raced for nearly two years.
