Press Association. WELLINGTON, "Wednesday. The 45th annual conference of the New Zealand Baptist Union and Missionary Society was opened to-day, the president, the Rev. E. Evans, of Dunedin, presiding. St. Alban’s Church was received into the union. This was White’s 11th fastest time this son. The annual report stated that the adult membership of the churches was 7,858, but with adherents the congregations numbered just over 20,000 adults. The progressive work of the young people’s department and the Bible Class Unions was alluded to with satisfaction.
