“THE WINTER’S TALE”
W.E.A. ADDRESS “The forgiveness of sins is the central idea of ‘The Winter’s Tale,’ one of Shakesper.re’s last works,” said the Re*v. W. Jellie in an address to W.E.A. students last night. The speaker said Leontes’s penitence did not alter The inevitable consequence of Ills evil deeds, but Shakespeare illustrated that the gradual working of the law of effect brought about greater happiness for humanity.
