DEPRIVED OF CIVIL RIGHTS FOR 10 YEARS

MILITARY PROSECUTIONS Military defaulters were penalised by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., at the Police Court yesterday afternoon. J. Nichol. who was described as a persistent offender, was fined £5, and deprived of civil rights for 13 years. The following were the other offenders and their penalties:—F. L. Magill and N. W. Steven were fined .€3; G. B. Thomson and T. B. K. Craig, £2; J. H. V. Neilson, 30s; S. Burns, A. E. Hogg-, R. Jenkins, T. A. Lee and R. Mason. £1; and C. A. M. Bather ley, 10s. F. H. Christiansen, R. Litherland and T. A. Midwinter were convicted and discharged. For failure to register W. *l'. Holland was fined £2 ancl J. Harrison 10s.
