NEW REGENT
“PRINCE OF HEAD WAITERS" Voting is now in progress for “Miss New Zealand 1927,” the 10 finalists making personal appearances on the stage at the New Regent Theatre in both afternoon and evening sessions. That oft-debated question of preference for blondes or brunettes is answered in Sam E. Rork’s production,, “The Prince of Headwaiters,” for First National Pictures. There is a slight partiality for blondes. Sixty of Hollywood’s most, beautiful and smart young women were employed in the cafe and lobby scenes in “The Prince of Headwaiters/’ which will finish its run at the New Regent Theatre to-morrow night, anti the count shows there were thirty-one blondes, twenty-seven brunettes, and two redheads. That count does not include the principals, however. Priscilla Bonner is a Rork brunette, Lily an Tashman a blonde, Ann Rork a, brunette, Cecilie Evans, a red-head, Marian McDonald a brunette, and Nita Cavalier a blonde. Besides the blondes, brunettes and red-heads, “The Prince of Headwaiters'’ has a notable cast, headed by Lewis Stone in the role of Pierre, headwaiter and hotel owner. Robert Agnew has the juvenile role, and John Patrick is the laughable gigilo in the affairs of the heart of Miss Tashman. who is Mae Morin, a gold-digger. E. J. Ratcliffe, Cleve Moore, brother of Colleen Moore, Lincoln Stcdman and Dick Folkens are others in, the cast. An interesting feature of the entertainment is a unique act with dolls, presented by Miss Margo Rammage. Musical selections are rendered by the operatic orchestra under Mr. Maurice Guttridge, and Mr. E. Hor:on, organist..
