LAST EVENING’S WEDDING

RALLS—KEYS A very pretty wedding took place at St. Matthias’s Church, Panmure, last evening, when Kathleen Annie Keys, youngest daughter of Mr. ;»:id Mrs. C. J. Keys, Wellington Park, was married to Mr. Ernest Terrett Ralls, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Ralls, of Ladies’ Mile, Ellerslie. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. C. B. W. Seton, vicar of Otahuhu. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dainty frock of white crepe de chine, with handsome pearl side ornaments. Her veil was caught with a pearl and lace coronet and orange blossoms. She wore a double row of pearls, white shoes and stockings, and carried a lovely bouquet of white flowers. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Alice Keys, as chief bridesmaid, who wore a very pretty frock of cornflower blue crepe de chine, trimmed with lace. The second bridesmaid was Miss May Goldsworthy. She wore a sweet frock of beige crepe de chine, also trimmed with lace. Both had shoes and stockings to match. Their pretty head-dress was of tulle and silver leaves. Mr. John Keys, brother of the bride, was best man, and Mr. Hector Scandrett, cousin of. the bridegroom, was groomsman. Mrs. Keys, mother of the bride, wore a pretty frock of rose du Barry shade and hat to match. Mrs. Ralls, the bridegroom’s mother, wore a black silk charmeuse frock with biscuit-toned gorgette vest and collar, and black hat with pearl ornament. A very pleasant gathering of relatives and friends met at the wedding breakfast in the local hall. The young people intend to make their home in Manurewa. The wedding service was fully choral, Mr. S. Shelton being at the organ. This was the first evening marriage held at St. Matthias’s Church since the church was built 61 years ago. Yesterday was the birthday of both the bride and bridegroom’s fathers. Among the guests at the reception were;—Mr. and Mrs. Morris Harding, Wellington Park, Panmure; Mr. and Mrs. John Kay, Panmure; Mr. and Mrs. J. Allen, Panmure; Mr. and Mrs. S. Shelton, Auckland; Mrs. and Miss Blake, Panmure; Mr. and Mrs. Bull, Panmure; Mr.'C. Coxhead, Manurewa; Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Manurewa; Mr. and Mrs. Gatwick, Panmure.
