FOR THE GREEN QUEEN
CARDS AT AVONDALE The round of entertainments given in support of the Green Queen, Kathleen Tobin, of the Avondale Catholic Queen Carnival continues to hold sway with a fair share of residents. One of the regular “500” evenings was held »last evening in the hall opposite Fearon’s. and like its predecessors was highly successful. Keen rivalry among the throng that participated in the popular card game, bright conversation and a delectable supper made the evening one of the most successful to date.
