SEASON OPENED

(From Our Oton Correspondent) PUKEKOHE, Monday. The Pukekohe Lawn Tennis Club’s official opening was held on Saturday, visitors being present from Pukekohe East, Pukekohe Hill, Mauku. Suburban Buckland and Papakura Club.s The visiting players were welcomed by the club president, Mr. J. W. Johns. The president of the Franklin Lawn Tennis Association, Mr. A_ Park Horne, urged the clubs to inaugurate association courts, and to establish some means of strengthening the weaker clubs in the association. The first ball was served by Mrs. J. W. Johns amid great applause.
