A GREAT DERBY

fjPHE Great Northern Derby, A which will be decided next Saturday, is creating intense interest and looks like furnishing one of the best classic contests ever witnessed at Epsom. Recent events show several candidates in form and with this as a guide, enthusiasts have plenty of good material to work on in making a final selection. The latest winning aspirant is Don Derby, a son of Nelson Bingen, who won at Kurow on Thursday. Other winners engaged are Donard, Daphne de Ora and Vestas. Then there is Harvest Chilr, who has race experience, and the Sapling winner, Enawah, who is the favourite—a wealth of three-year-old material to make a stirring contest.
