A WIN FOR LUKEY

Press Association. WELLINGTON, Saturday. The second annual Palmerston North to Wellington road cycle race was held to-day under trying conditions of heat and severe head winds. Following was the result:—S. Lukey (scr), 5h 39m 42 -ss, 1; S. Webber (34m), 6h 20m 53 l-ss, 2; A. Chenot (34m), 6h 21m 55 3-ss, 3. Lukey secured fastest time. The winner said he considered the course easily eclipsed the Timaru to Christchurch as regards the difficulties presented to competitors.
