BURGLARS AT WORK DURING WEEK-END
BELIEVED TO BE BOYS Burglars were active In and round the city again during the wveek-end, but fortunately very little was taken. The breaks are thought to have been done by boys or youths. COME time on Saturday the residence of Mr. William Gulliver, of Victoria Avenue, Rjmuera, was broken in:o, and the sum of £2 was stolen. During the absence of the residents the house had b< en entered and considerably disturbed. Burglars also broke Into the premises of Mr. Stewart Hill, vulcaniser and retreader, 113 Symonds Street, during the week-end, and decamped with a quantity of small goods. The premises had been thoroughly overhauled. It is thought to have been the work of youths in search of money. The premises of the Royal Manufacturing Company. Dundonald Street, w?re entered, but so far nothing has been taken. When the premises were opened this morning it was found that the office drawers had been turned out and the wnole place ransacked. Entrance was gained by forcing a side door.
