Another “Bookie” Aids State Funds

PENALTY OF £75 A “SUBSTANTIAL LIST” JOHN FRANCIS O’CONNOR, a bookmaker, aged 35, was fined £75 at the Police Court to-day for carrying on his business. O'Connor pleaded guilty. Chief-Detective Cummings said that accused was arrested on Saturday, and a fairly substantial betting list was found in his possession. He had been convicted for a similar offence seven years ago.
