CRIMINAL SESSIONS
OPEN ON OCTOBER 25 ELEVEN CASES FOR HEARING The final quarterly criminal sessions of the Supreme Court will open on Tuesday morning, October 25, before Mr. Justice Stringer and Mr. Justice Herdman. The list of prisoners for trial up to date totals 11, but with a fortnight to go it is expected that the finai ; numbers will be about 20. The names and charges of those now awaiting trial are: Leonard Walter Lach, theft, Auckland. Arthur Herbert Eden, attempted rape and assault (two charges), Auckland. Thomas Herbert Skinner and Ina Beatrice Wills, breaking, entering and theft (two charges), attempted breaking and entering (one charge), Auckland. Herbert Marshall Brooks, wounding with intent, Auckland. William James Courtney, theft, Auckland. Milroy Thomas Smillie, assault causing actual bodily harm, Auckland. Thomas McWhirter Muir, indecent assault, Helensville. Thomas John Davies, indecent assault on males (four charges), Tauranga. Charles McKinnon, theft as servant and furnishing false return,, Kaitaia. Alfred Louis Hastedt, negligent driving causing death. Auckland.
