WEEK-END PLAY AUCKLAND BEATS HAMILTON Perfect conditions ruled on Saturday, when Auckland played Hamilton, at Hamilton. Wanganui Championship (Special to THE SUN.) WANGANUI, Saturday. A welcome surprise occurred to-day when Dr. Ulrick Williams won the Wanganui championship, beating J. C. Bidwell, the defender, 3 and 2, in the final. Williams beat S. Powdrell, Hawera, in the morning, while Bidwell accounted for O’Callaghan. Williams was two up at the turn.
