PROLONGED LITIGATION
PATENT INFRINGED Considerable interest was evinced by farmers and others in the prolonged litigation over the patent rights of the Warren patent milking machine which, after lasting for over two years, has only just been concluded. The company, which proceeded against the Knapp Milking Machine Company, for an alleged infringement of patent rights, was granted the verdict with costs by Mr. Justice Ostler. The essential feature of the patent is a pump adapted to dea,l with milk on the one side and air upon the other. The simplicity of. the -Whole plant is a feature which at once attracts the eye. In addition, it has several features not included in many other makes of machines. Each machine has a separate adjustable vacuum for hard or easy milkers.. The milk is delivered into a bucket at the side of the cow or in the vat at the end of the shed, according to the need of of the farmer. No releaser of vacuum tank is required.
