CYCLIST CRASHES INTO STONE WALL

HEALTH INSPECTOR INJURED (Special to THE SUN.) CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. As a result of his bicycle getting beyond his control while riding down the steep slope of Dublin Street, Lyttelton, this morning, Mr. Richard James McKenzie, inspector of the staff of the Department of Health, Christchurch, received severe injuries, and is now in a critical condition in the Christchurch Hospital. The cycle and rider crashed With terrific force into the stone wall above the tunnel. Mr. McKenzie was unconscious when picked up, and had received a. five-inch wound across his forehead, and other injuries. His condition this evening was still serious. The injured man is married, 63 years of age, and lives at Redcliffs.
