WAR CONVERSION LOAN
COMMONWEALTH ISSUE By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. Reed. 1 p.m. CANBERRA, To-day. The Federal Treasurer, Dr. Earle Page, announces that the Commonwealth War Conversion Loan of £36,000,000, carrying interest at 5 1 per cent, and issuing at 98J, will, be opened to-day. The loan was originally £39,000,000, but £3,000,000 were redeemed and cancelled by the use of the National Debt Sinking Fund.—A. and N.Z.
