“THE HEART OF SALOME” Three convent girls are appearing in “The Heart of Salome.” Victor Schertzinger’s latest drama made for Fox Films, which is now at the Prince Edward Theatre. The convent girls are Alma Rubens,, who has the leading role of La Belle Helene, knows whom. Paris knows little but suspects so much that he is the centre of boulevard gossip, and Erin La Bisscnier and Edna Conway, who plays Helen’s maids. Miss Rubens received her convent training in San Francisco. Miss La Bissonier at Red Lake Falls, Minn., and Miss Conway at Richmond Hill, Xew York. “The Heart of Salome” is a tensely dramatic story of Europeaji high and shady finance.
Karl Dane, the renowned “Slim” of “The Big Parade,” and George K. Arthur, famous for his humorous parts in many Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer successes, including “Pretty Ladies” and “The Waning Sex,” make a capital comedy team in “Rookies.” Karl Dan© plays the part of an old drill sergeant, and George Iv. Arthur that of a luckless boy training under his command. The girl in the cast is played by Marcel ine Bay, the heroine of “The Barrier.”
